About Me
Hiya! My name is Ansley (she/her) and I’m a counsellor/psychotherapist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. When I’m not in the counselling room, I enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with my cat.
My work began in 2020 when I joined a non-profit back in the States that aimed to foster community amongst university students. After working there for three years, I decided to begin my professional training and move to the UK to purse my MSc at the University of Edinburgh. Since relocating, I’ve worked with a local counselling agency to provide individual counselling to anyone over the age of 18 as well as Edinburgh City Council to provide counselling to secondary students across the city. These experiences have developed within me a deep passion for working with others to understand and improve their mental and emotional health.
As your counsellor, I’d hope to create an empathic and inclusive space where we can explore your experiences. I will encourage you to communication openly with me throughout our work together in a safe and sustainable manner. It is my sincere hope that you feel seen and heard throughout the counselling process.
